The apiary is an important venue for both experienced and new beekeepers to share practical expertise; for "Taster Sessions" for prospective new beekeepers; for the practical part of the Beginners' Course; for BBKA exams; and for carrying out procedures like queen rearing.
Apiary Sessions are held usually every Tuesday evening starting at 5pm.
Weekend sessions will be held every second Sunday of the month, May to September, at 2.15pm - see check the calendar for confirmation of dates and will take place at the Holden Apiary & Study Centre.
Bee suits are available for use by visitors and beginners.
